Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics, and Laura Tyson, a member of the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, join Jennifer Granholm to discuss the role the economy will play in the 2012 election.
“I’m not an economist and therefore I have the right to be confused,” Sabato says warning that people are getting mixed messages on the economy. He says the Obama campaign has to aggressively highlight the recovery if they don’t want to get punished for it during the election.
