Since the first announcement on September 20 that Cenk Uygur and “The Young Turks” were going to create an original TV version of their hugely popular Web show for Current, we’ve been working very fast to find and then build out a new studio in Los Angeles.
Now we’ve got a sneak peek for you of TYT’s new Rebel Headquarters, from which the show will broadcast live every weeknight at 7/6c, starting Monday, December 5.
Below we take you from concept drawings by Feldman Designs to “before shots” with bare space just as the build-out was beginning and then show off a more recent iPhone snap as construction progressed.
Take a look:

Concept drawing #1: But what's behind the curtain?

Concept drawing #2: Four monitors hung on distressed concrete.

Before build-out begins: Just imagine a curtain across that opening, and TYT staff working hard on the other side...

Before build-out begins: Note four windows along that wall...

After construction has started: Distressed concrete covers the four windows. Monitors and so much more still to come...
We’ll post more behind-the-scenes images as the new Rebel Headquarters continues to take shape.
But tell us — what do you think so far? Can you picture Cenk and “The Young Turks” gang delivering their trademark take on politics and news in these digs?
