“Epic Politics Man” Michael Shure’s son, Owen, has become an overnight sensation — for writing a reassuring letter to San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kyle Williams after Williams lost the big game, something Owen took very hard.
“I just wanted him to stop crying,” Michael says, “so I said, ‘Think about how bad he feels.’”
Ben Mankiewicz — also part of the Young Turks family — wrote about the letter and the far less adorable responses Williams was getting on “Huffington Post.” And now, “Everybody wants a piece of Owen,” Michael says as they balance requests from national TV shows and even Williams’ agent, who said Williams loved the letter. “When you’re a father, it’s one of those moments you hang on to.”
