Ana Kasparian reports on Susan G. Komen for the Cure pulling funding from Planned Parenthood. She interviews Eric Scheidler from Pro-Life Action League to get a conservative take on the well-known breast-cancer organization’s decision.
Scheidler says “[Komen] wants their 93 million dollars of grants to directly help women,” claiming that Planned Parenthood is mostly a referral service that doesn’t perform mammograms and other exams in their facilities. However, in 2010 alone, Planned Parenthood performed about 1.6 million cancer screenings.
So what’s the real reason for Susan G. Komen cutting ties?
Cenk says, “The Republicans are bullying Planned Parenthood, and Susan G. Komen’s just going along with it.”
