Cenk digs into budget cuts Colorado Springs made in 2010 that decreased the number of public safety workers on hand when the wildfires first started. Compared with 2007, Colorado Springs has 50 fewer police officers and 39 fewer firefighters. Cenk says, “It turns out, when you cut and cut and cut, sometimes it burns your house down.”
