Cenk challenges Dinesh D’Souza’s claims that President Obama is reducing the influence of the United States worldwide and purposefully saddling the country with debt. “You can’t say that Obama, for five years, is simply carrying on the Bush legacy. Obama has had the chance to leave his footprint on both foreign policy and domestic policy,” D’Souza says.
“One of your theses in the book is that, oh, we’re giving so much aid to the rest of the world that we’re downsizing America,” Cenk says. “[But] we’ve spent an incredibly small amount of money in foreign aid, and most of it goes to the countries we’ve invaded.” (Part 1 of 2)
