Do white presidents have more freedom to advocate for minorities in the US?

Emanuel Cleaver, chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, recently called out President Obama for not being a stronger advocate for the African American community, which has suffered more since the economic downturn than any other race. TYT contributor Tricia Rose weighs in on why Obama and African Americans are stuck between a political rock and hard place. Rose says, “Unfortunately, the way race works in America, if Obama — as a black man — mentions race too much, he gets tainted by a kind of anxiety and fear that a white Democratic president wouldn’t be.”
