Cenk and a special extended Power Panel — Stephanie Miller, Michael Hastings, Ana Kasparian and Michael Shure — talk about the hidden truths of drone strikes. Hastings, who is working on a Rolling Stone investigation into drones, says, “As a country, are we doing more harm than good when we accidentally wipe out five, 10, 15 people who aren’t going to come to our shores and attack us?”
But “drone porn” — videos that show the strikes and their lethal result — may actually be teaching us to distance ourselves from the deaths, objectifying them almost as porn can do for sex, Hastings argues.
“I worry about what that does to us as a nation,” Cenk says. “We know some children are being killed in these attacks.”
