Cenk Uygur talks with James Spione, the director of “Silenced,” a documentary that is following the stories of Thomas Drake, John Kiriakou and two other whistleblowers. Spione outlines some of the consequences to Drake, who tried for years to go through designated channels and got nowhere. After he went to a reporter, his home was raided and multiple charges were filed against him. “It seems to me that it has gotten substantially worse,” Cenk says, referring to what happens to whistleblowers, “while the banks and torturers all get a get-out-jail-free card.”
