Cenk comes out swinging on Tuesday’s show: “You know what the point of this show is? It’s to stick up for you guys. And every day we have new evidence of somebody coming to screw you and the huge disparity between you guys and the guys that are in power. And the rest of the media does a terrible job of reporting this stuff. Gee, I wonder if money affects politics. If you turn on CNN are you going to hear anything about that?”
On the planned retirement of Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.): “Everybody else on television is like, ‘Oh my god, Ben Nelson was such a moderate. He was such a good guy. He was always trying to bridge the difference between Republicans and Democrats.’ Nonsense. All Ben Nelson did was, ‘Where’s the money? Where’s the money? Oh, a corporation’s going to pay me to do that? Great, I’m in.’ My words to Ben Nelson are: ‘Good riddance.’”
