Guest host Michael Shure digs into the details of the Guantanamo Bay hunger strike with former Gitmo chief prosecutor Col. Morris Davis and attorney David Remes. The Guatanamo prisoners’ strike is meant to protest President Obama failing to deliver on his first-term promise to close the detention center.
Davis says, “We need some leadership out of President Obama. He said the right thing back in ’09 when he signed the order, saying that Guantanamo was a blight on our reputation and it had to be closed, but then he lacked the leadership to follow through on his promise, and here we are, more than four years later.”
