Cenk asks his Power Panel — Cheryl Contee, Katie Halper and Tricia Rose — how Fox News would have covered Martin Luther King Jr.
Contee says if King were alive today, “He would have said, ‘We should sit down with the Taliban, we should treat them with brothers.’ He would have been labeled a terrorist in turn.”
Halper adds “Marxist” and “class-war instigator” to that label and says, “They’re brilliant at creating this myth that if you talk about race, you’re racist.”
Rose says, “They have far too much credibility with far too many Americans” that could spread ideas against King that were more diffuse during the 1960s.
