Libertarian Gary Johnson on the chance he’d cause Romney to lose: ‘How would you feel if I cost Obama the election?’

Guest host Michael “Epic Politics Man” Shure talks to former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson, candidate for president on the Libertarian ticket, about the role medical marijuana ballot initiatives might play in the election. Johnson also talks about how his own run for the office might affect the election.

“There’s a chance you could be the ‘Ralph Nader’ of 2012,” Shure says. “How would you feel if you cost Mitt Romney the state of Colorado in this tight election?”

Johnson answers, “And how would you feel if I cost Barack Obama the election? I really think it’s going to go both ways. And it really doesn’t matter, because neither of these candidates are talking about the issues that are facing us. I get the sense that both of them want to pull the trigger when it comes to Iran. I get the sense that if either one of them are elected, we’re going to find ourselves with a heightened police state … and continuing to borrow and spend money that is unsustainable.”
