Michael Hastings and Chicago reporter swap stories about Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s bullying tactics

Guest host Ana Kasparian talks with author and political journalist Edward McClelland about Current contributor and BuzzFeed correspondent Michael Hastings’ run-in with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. “You could be the latest member of a support group called ‘Rahm Emanuel bullied me,’” McClelland tells Hastings. He adds that Emanuel is often compared with Lyndon Johnson. He says that LBJ had a reputation of bullying, that he used profanity strategically and also as a bullying tactic. McClelland points out, “When you’re in a position like Rahm Emanuel is and you swear at somebody, but they can’t swear at you, it’s just a way of letting people know who’s in charge.”
