Comedian Michael Ian Black stops by to talks about whether most comedians really are liberals, reveals that Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul are two politicians he really likes, and explains why labeling himself Democrat or Republican is meaningless.
“I feel like both parties have become so corporatized that it’s the same as saying ‘I only wear Nike sneakers,’” Black says. “To me, the party itself has become kind of meaningless. I’m much more interested, as an American and as a patriot, in terms of ‘What are my foundational beliefs?’ than ‘What are my political party beliefs?’”
