And the winner for most racist ad seen during the Super Bowl — at least in Michigan — goes to Rep. Pete Hoekstra for his fear-mongering campaign ad against incumbent Sen. Debbie Stabenow. And it was all, Cenk says, “So we could have this feeling ginned up, where it’s, ‘These Asians, they’re taking our jobs!’ And of course that’s the climate that he wants to create.”
Even after the ad was widely slammed, Hoekstra stood behind it, calling it a “home run.”
