Now will President Obama pardon fmr. Ala. Gov. Don Siegelman?
Guest co-hosts Michael “Epic Politics Man” Shure, Michael Hastings (BuzzFeed and “Rolling Stone”), Brown University’s Tricia Rose and Jayar Jackson talk to Dana Siegelman, whose father, former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman is currently serving a six-year service that many say was orchestrated by Karl Rove. Shure asks whether President Obama might pardon Siegelman now. “I had to go through a lot of educating myself,” Dana Siegelman says. “I had to learn the facts. I even had to question whether he was innocent, because good men make mistakes. I wanted to know what really happened, and why he maintained his innocence. We carried this hope that the justice system would do the right thing. Five years later, they haven’t, but people seem to get it now.” Go to change.org/PardonDon to learn more.
