Cenk interviews Salon.com writer Glenn Greenwald about the similarities between warmongering arguments in mainstream media about Iran and those made about Iraq. “The campaign and the propaganda are still similar,” Greenwald says, “but the government seems to be lagging behind rather than driving the propaganda. The way that the American media looks at the world is very nationalistic. It’s very simple-minded and very kind of xenophobic. The idea always is that whoever has any tension with the United States is inherently the evil party.”
