Cenk asks his Power Panel — filmmaker Negin Farsad and Ari Berman of The Nation — whether Mitt Romney trading access for campaign donations is worse than President Obama’s record doing the same. “Romney’s selling access to a job he hasn’t even won yet,” Berman says, but points out that only 10 percent of Romney’s campaign are small-amount donors. Farsad says, “Obama might just be taking meetings with people who are slightly more in line with human interests, like health care or not taking a dump on the poor.” Cenk asks, “Is it okay if some of those top donors are on our side? I agree with gay rights, they give a ton of money to Obama and if go to the White House and get their way, I guess that’s a win for us in some way.”
