Buzzfeed’s Zeke Miller and Mother Jones reporter Andy Kroll join the Power Panel to debate whether President Obama will let the Bush tax cuts finally expire. A National Journal polls states that only 26 percent of U.S. citizens believe tax cuts should be extended for all income levels, whereas 47 percent believe only those with yearly incomes less than $250,000 should get an extension. “Many polls show that this is something the president is going to bash Republicans over the head with over and over again,” Kroll says. “But from a policy perspective, it’s going to be interesting to see how Republicans decide to force the president’s hand, even though it’s a winning issue for him.” Cenk says, “See, that’s the thing, right? I’m going to be more blunt about this: I don’t believe the Democrats.”
Cenk and panelists discuss Obama's response to the NSA scandal, protests in Turkey and Brazil, the North Carolina NAACP's "Moral Mondays" and more TONIGHT 7E/4P.
