Representative Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) and BuzzFeed’s Michael Hastings debate with Cenk about the role race played in the vote against Attorney General Eric Holder. “I’ll just ask you this — is it a coincidence that the first contempt vote for an attorney general was brought against an African American attorney general?” Hastings says. “I don’t think so.” Cohen agrees, saying, “I think it was race, and I think it was the second step in Joe Wilson’s ‘you lie.’ That wouldn’t have happened if the president of the United States looked like John Wayne.”
