“Rick Santorum has gotten a free ride,” Cenk says. “His favorability is all the way up at 60 because nobody’s taken a shot at him. And there are all these stories, like the Sen. Ensign story,” referring to the role Santorum played in alerting Ensign to the fact that a staffer planned to go public about Ensign’s extra-marital affair. “He helped expedite covering up that mess. That doesn’t seem like a very family values thing. It might not have played well in Iowa, but no one ever found out about it or remembered about it. He should be thanking his lucky stars that he didn’t get more coverage.”
