CNN’s “OutFront with Erin Burnett” continues to be a magnet for right-wing talking points masquerading as reporting, especially when it comes to understanding taxes and capital gains.
As Cenk points out, “Erin, do you know that only 1.4 percent of the income of people making under $100,000 comes from capital gains and dividends? How is that ‘relying on that for retirement’? It’s not. Fifty-four percent — a majority of the benefits of capital gains and dividend goes to millionaires.
