Vintage Epic Politics Man and a gold star for TYT’s Iraq war coverage

In this holiday retrospective, Cenk pays tribute to Michael Shure, the absent Epic Politics Man, with a clip from way back in the day in which Cenk loses his temper over a “USA Today” headline. And Dave Koller, who’s known Cenk for 33 years, brings his trademark tough love. “Dave loves pointing out where I’ve been wrong,” Cenk says. But he gives Cenk a gold star for lifetime achievement for TYT’s coverage of the Iraq war. “It’s appropriate because it officially just ended, although the real trouble actually just began,” Dave says. Cenk thanks him and says, “Part of the reason that ‘The Young Turks’ became a lot more political was because of the Iraq war.”
