Cenk shares an off-camera exchange he had just before Tuesday’s interview with white nationalist group Stormfront’s founder Don Black.
Black told Cenk, “You’re one of my favorite shows, aside from my own.”
It turns out that Black’s daily radio program runs just before an audio-only version of “The Young Turks” online show on a Florida AM station.
“It’s a little disconcerting,” Cenk says, “and something I did not know. But it’s a perfect example of why you shouldn’t blame Ron Paul for Stormfront endorsing him. How do I know that Don Black likes ‘The Young Turks’? It goes to show that just because somebody thinks you’re good doesn’t mean that you think that they’re the right guys.”
And for Ron Paul supporters demanding TYT bring him on the show: “Of course we’d love to have him,” Cenk says, who’s interviewed Paul on the radio, online and at MSNBC. “We’ve covered him probably more than any other show, so it’s not like we’re not trying.”
