Why would Florida’s Stand Your Ground law apply in Jordan Davis shooting when it doesn’t even seem to be self-defense?

Cenk Uygur, TYT’s Ana Kasparian, Current TV contributor and Brown University professor Tricia Rose, and Avvo.com legal analyst Lisa Bloom look at the shooting of a young black Florida man, Jordan Davis, by Michael Dunn, who claims self-defense.

“There was no reason for self-defense,” Bloom says, “but the Stand Your Ground law may be interpreted to exonerate him.” Brown says, “The broader context of how race shapes perception has to be playing a role — because it plays a role all the time.”
