    • Yes, New York is really that bad. It goes deeper than rent and taxis for me. Don't get me wrong, New York has alot going for it, culturally and all, but I'm just not into paying a premium to have beautiful views of concrete in really, a one room apartment. And that's if you're rich.

For me, the best thing about New York is Manhattan. Everywhere else is just...ugly. I also find New Yorkers live in a petri-dish. Like they're the center of the universe. It's the only place they could ever live. They're on par with Texans in that capacity. Im sorry, there's nothing glamorous about living in your mother's basement and pimping yourself out in subways to get noticed. Not everyone does that, but everybody seems to have some kind of a hustle going, but only a few can actually afford to move out of those butt ugly boroughs. It's a city of dreamers, and that in part has two sides.

So really, I can't say I love New York. I love Manhattan, and the pizza and definitely the art scene, but I can definitely do without the ugliness, unfriendliness, and big headed-ness.
