    • alcohol = another tool for oppression, making profit off the suffering of others. Brings misery to people in society and their physical and mental health. People are deluded if they think it brings them joy. Ironic thing is Alcohol is also forbidden in christianity, then the bible contradicts itself by portraying Jesus and his Disciples drinking wine. A 'book of God', if so, then it should be perfect with no mistakes or contradictions, very peculiar

lol wut. Paranoid craziness. Also untrue.

"Wine is praised; it rejoices God and men (Judges 9:13); it gladdens the heart of men (Psalms 104:15); it gladdens life (Exodus 10:19); it makes the heart exult (Zechariah 10:7); it cheers the spirits of the depressed (Proverbs 31:6) . . . The attitude of Jesus toward wine, like that of the entire Bible, is neutral, praising its use and finding fault in its intemperate use. Certainly the production of wine at Cana (John 2:1-11) scarcely supports any belief that Jesus or the primitive Church regarded the use of wine as sinful in itself." (Dictionary of the Bible, John L. McKenzie, S.J., Bruce Publishing Co., 1965 )."

    • This is a great pod. Inspiring to see that people are doing their thing no matter what anyone else says. And it's nice to see a rare glimpse at Palestinian pride that doesnt manifest itself in violence.

I love that remark about the Palestininan pride not manifesting itself through violence! The best part in the video is when the cameraman asks why he feels "strongly about supplying the community with beer", and he answers "I cannot start selling milk"! great stuff, whoever thought drinking beer would help a worthy cause!

    • Maybe if Palestinians and Israelis spent more time drinking together, they'd spend less time fighting...

...actually, they'd probably fight more if they were drunk : - P

P.S. 'Alcohol' is an Arabic word; Arabic chemists used 'al-kuḥl' to refer to other substances such as essences that were obtained by distillation, a sense first found for English 'alcohol' in 1672.
