Howard Hallis’ Picture of Everything is a work in progress that began in 1997 when the artist began doodling Spider-Man. This led him to draw Spidey some company in the form of other heroes from the Marvel and DC comic book worlds. Pretty soon Hallis decided he would try to fit as many superheroes in the picture as he could. Over time his idea evolved to include superheroes who were strictly cartoon characters (DynoMutt & Hong Kong Phooey, for example) and then changed again to accommodate ordinary cartoon characters…then rock stars, movie stars, space ships, historical figures, video game characters, religious figures, buildings, places and…Phew. My fingers are tired just from typing all that. I can’t imagine drawing it.
