According to yet another study into kids that play video games, scientists have agreed with parents across the world, claiming that almost 1 in 10 kids are addicted to playing video games.

Researchers from Iowa State University tested over 1,000 young'uns against 'standards established for pathological behaviour' and found that 8.5 percent are clinically addicted to computer games, with those computer games being a possible cause for "the same family, social or psychological damage as other addictions."

The researchers compared their subjects' gaming habits to the symptons established to measure pathological gambling with the gamers being classified as "pathological" if they exhibited at least six of 11 symptoms.
