Aircrafts to adopt 'silent flight', just like Owls

The European plane manufacturer Airbus, are studying was to construct aircrafts with silent flight patterns, as a means to reduce the level of noise often created by the structures.

Their inspiration comes from the quite, stealth-like approach of owls hunting on prey. Airbus have become intrigued by this, to the point where they are looking to manipulate airflow, similar to that of an owl's wing and body angle, as well as positioning of feathers.

Sounds very interesting, but I hope they wont adopt the flying-only-at-night trait.

    • I agree - I think that this will revolutionize the way we know transportation. I would love to have my windows open on a hot summer night without hearing the swooshes of planes.
