Konami has released the first in-game image of its forthcoming sports title Pro Evolution Soccer 2010. Take a look: http://www.totalgamingnetwork.com/main/showthread.php?t=192203

Demonstrating the stunning new level of detail and graphical refinement, the work in progress image shows cover star Lionel Messi in action in the new game, and showcases a massive advance in aesthetic detail. PES 2010 will feature all-new dynamic lighting effects, where the position of the sun or the illumination from the floodlights is reflected in real time within the shadows cast both on the pitch, stadium, the ball and players.

    • The graphics are getting ridiculous, I've walked into peoples houses before and seen they are watching a football match, "Who's playing?"

      "Me and Dave"

And it's a computer game, looks like the real thing these days!

    • I know the end goal is to make it look as real as possible but I'd rather they focused on the game play aspects first as I'm not sure I'm really that bothered about how the position of the sun changes the shadow the player casts.

    • Looks good, I am a massive fan of PES, but im not really bothered about the graphics. PES is the best because it is the most realistic football game out there in terms of game play and tactics. However I feel that they have been treading water with their last few releases. Not really making any big jumps forward, just tinkering with the existing system. Hopefully the good press FIFA got for their last release will have given them a kick up the backside.

    • I can't wait to get my hands on this. I've been a PES fan since they released the first one. It beats FIFA hands down every time and that picture does look exceptionally good.
