Kutcher barked instructions into his two-way radio as his light and sound crews followed with the Twitter entourage hot on their heels and an Internet audience watching on Ustream.
Moments after Kutcher yelled "lights" into his two-way, his crew unfurled a banner with his Twitter name, aplusk, over the CNN's neon logo on the building.
"You know, CNN lost. That's what happened," Kutcher told a tag-along crowd of more than 100 fans whom he calls "tweeps." "I'm just fulfilling a promise I made ... that I'd do this thing and I'm doing it," he said.
In an earlier prank Wednesday, Kutcher and his crew arrived at a Ted's Montana Grill restaurant, which is named after the media mogul. The group neatly stacked hundreds of boxes of Ding Dong cakes in front of the restaurant, then each person banged a bronze bell out front.
Ted Turner, you've been p'unked.

Blimey he had 100 real people following him to this thing. He really has turned into his cartoon.

Everything about Ashton Kutcher annoys me. I'm jealous he gets to hold hands with Demi Moore, his hyperactive shouty schtick gets on my nerves, he's partly responsible for Twitter becoming awash with banal celebrities using it purely for PR and the chance to get on Oprah's show, and even that sheet with his username annoys me. Spend some more money, order a proper sign and do this properly, you idiot.
Saying all that, Dude Where's My Car is sheer cinematic genius. This guy, right, he gets drunk and then... he loses his car! Where's his car? Haha! Will he ever find it? And what hilarious things will happen to him during his search? Hey Ashton, do the bit from the tattoo scene again! Brilliant.
