Bah, game controller tattoos symbolize a deep, geeky love for technology, usually with more than a little nostalgia thrown in for sentimental purposes....and they don't make me cringe.

I already have more scars than I want but I've seen some VERY cool scarification work.

I've always personally liked scarification... never had any done yet... but I've been intrigued with the idea of it for a long time.
It's just another form of body modification and I really see nothing wrong with it. Things like this have been going on for thousands of years in some way or another. Anymore I guess its just a way to stand out in the masses... everyone has a tattoo, but not everyone has scarification.

Well, if you're going to cut, might as well make it look cool.

If he really liked Nintendo he would have lopped a hand off and replace it with a controller wired directly to his brain.
A couple of scars, pah, what a pussy.

scarification takes a LOT of aftercare. some people try and irritate the wounds by rubbing various things into it to get more prominent scars, some practitioners of scarification don't recommend this though as it can lead to uneven scarring, and so the end product is less aestherically pleasing.
and yeah, the people that thing this guy is nuts... as piratequeen said... it's just another body mod. Tattoos are acceptable, and facial piercings becoming so, this is just something else a bit different.
plus i doubt he cut this into his own flesh, he probably got someone who knew what they were doing to do it

It's called Scarification.
Will look pretty cool when it's healed.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scarification
Yes, a lot of people may find this wierd.
But it's just another form of body modification. - 2 years ago

I found this picture..http://www.trendhunter.com/images/phpthumbnails/41104_1_230.jpeg
Don't click on the link if you're squeemish!
I watched a guy having Scarification done at a tattoo convention in Wales..was nasty!
I'm guessing it would take a lonnng time to heal and become a scar.
Imagine it getting infected! EW! - 2 years ago

It's hardcore, but pretty sure a Nintendo controller was a bad decision. Thanks for the link though.
