Identity Theft Hitting Online Gamers

Jamesbuckingham
This has been a worry of gamers for a long time, and there's only just news of this happening?

I've had several friends that play WoW that've fallen victim to account hackers like this. :/

    • There's a simple solution to this - two factor authentication. By combining something you know (like a PIN or password) with something you have (like Blizzard's authenticator keyring or some other token), you dramatically reduce the likelihood of getting hacked. Considering that most MMOs these days rely on you providing them with credit card information as standard, I'm surprised that they don't ship them in the retail box with the game.
