      Not making a good case for the game Delia ;).

      It was a nicer looking Perfect Dark to me, just perfect dark did it better.

      At least Perfect Dark had friggen AI options for multiplayer :P. Halo couldn't even accomplish that.

    • It is easy to complain about something when you provide no better example and give no reason for such distaste.

      That's the wonderful world of ignorance based biases.

      Personally I thought it was a pretty solid story, the revelation that you are a failed test tube baby and that your mother is being basically cut apart like a rag doll is likely to send someone over the edge.

      Plus Crisis core sort of expanded on the idea that Sephiroth was your average overpowered joe before he watched his friends and family slaughtered around him for one reason or another.

      FFVII is the worst example of what video games should be. Like 10 years after it came out, they whore it so nerds could wet themselves and go buy more PSP's. Only reason it came out on DVD is because no one wanted to get that paper weight to watch their beloved teen man fantasy come blasting in with his stupidly long sword.
      Don't act like it's some massive achievement for humanity. The only reasons people liked it were
      1)You thought Tifa was hot (weirdos)
      2)You thought Sephiroth was badass(A meteor lol wut)
      3)You thought that cube hands and triangle biceps were advanced graphics. Did you enjoy riding a chocobo so gold it hurt your eyes?
      You know, now that I think about it, I did have fun with FFVII... before it was the rediculous show it has become now.
      TL;DR
      FFVII shouldn't get you wet/stop talking about this game.

      Well, I agree about Mario. Yeah yeah, he saved the video game industry, but whatever, that fucking plumber needs to go already. I'll take Crash and Spyro over him any day. But still, I don't suck at Halo. Actually, i'm pretty damn good, yet I still think Master Chief is too overrated.

    • Thats a troll list. It was created for the soul purpose of going against popular opinion to get views to their site.

      Here is a quote from the list for the game Assassins Creed

      "Typical day for the assassin: Sneak around the city. Assassinate your target. Blend into the crowd. Find another target. So it goes, so it goes."

      No shit! Thats what an assassin does. If you wanted a game not about assassins then maybe you should have not bought the game with the word "assissin" in the title.

    • I don't fundamentally disagree with the list, but they should definitely extend it and put half a dozen nintendo characters on there.

      The comments at IGN are funny, people bitching about Fenix and Chief being on the list. "Wahhhh, they have good stories! Read their books!" Sorry, if a game can't incorporate at least one meaningful line of dialogue in over 12 hours of gameplay, I'm not going to read a damn book to try and fill in the blanks myself.

      It wouldn't be hard to fix either, all they would need to do was show Fenix being emotionally vulnerable one time in the whole damn game or Master Chief being morally indecisive for once in his life. Show them, you know, CARING about something like all human beings do.

      At the end of the day, no matter what the frat boys say, Fenix and Chief are just grunting, hyper-masculine retards. There's nothing impressive about a character who has numbed away their humanity by pounding away at legions of meat.

      Shepard, from Mass Effect, is a good example of a simple way to make an overly masculine space marine believable and interesting.

      I agree for the most part and especially about Marcus Fenix but the Master Chief isnt really supposed to have any lines... hes supposed to be a blank slate that you can impose yourself onto. Thats why you never see his face in any of the 3 games.

      Then again i have read all the books and Halo 1 was my favorite game of all time so i guess you could say im a little bias...

      Sephiroth is a panzy. Genre defining? FFVII is anything but. It was just super long and no one had ever experienced that. Sephiroth was everything every 13 year old kid wanted to be and that's why he was loved. Look at him now. He's a fag.
