The mobile phone directory story which was posted up on to current last month, informed us of an online system, which would allow members of the public to obtain numbers from the directory.
Well news has been confirmed that this directory has been suspended, after numerous people attempted to remove their details from the system. the 118 800 service had been running for only a month, but controversy was deep after the directory had up to 15 million mobile numbers on its database -- all of which obtained from market researchers and list brokers.
the site is currently under "major developments" as a means to "improve the experience for [their] customers".
