Reports have confirmed that WB has bought out Midway Chicago for 49 Million. Shortly after acquiring Midway under its corporate umbrella, WB decided to change the name to WB Games Chicago and close all their original corporate offices, which was separate from their development studio. With the corporate offices closing, 20% of Midways work force was laid off, including the CEO, Matt Booty.

RIP Midway. I wish the company wouldn't have to be bankrupt and have it's properties be purchased out but I definitely understand how this will be good for the company.
