CEO Nobuyuki Oneda of Sony has just announced that a PlayStation 3 console is now 70% cheaper to produce than it was at lunch, ultimately meaning that there will probably be price cuts soon. On average, a PlayStation 3 unit costed about $800 to produce, so now it would cost around only $240. Sony can now cut the price of the console and actually profit off it it.
