Guinea pigs rule and so does this animation. The animals seemed more real than the humans, the comedy was wasn’t too overly cute (as most Disney productions tend to be). It’s by a long stretch the most explosive animation I have seen to date, and makes plenty of references to classic Bond films and the like. Just because it happens to feature a bunch of cute, talking guinea pigs doesn't for one second mean that producer Jerry Bruckheimer's first step into 3D isn't gonna be business as usual. I like that, and £10 of my own cash says he chose the films title. There’s not one slow moment and that’s the key ingredient of a Bruckheimer production. This is the midsummer family proposition but guarantees a rollercoaster ride for an audience of all ages.
PS. The cast includes Steve Buscemi and Nicholas Cage, reunited for their first time since Con Air!
