Looking back at the life of John Hughes and doing a retrospective on one of his films, possibly his most popular film The Breakfast Club, is a truly moving experience. It’s a film that captured a teenager’s world perfectly as we all saw a piece of ourselves in one of the forever memorable characters.
The Breakfast Club was filmed in 1985 and was John Hughes second in the Directors chair. Amazingly Hughes wrote The Breakfast Club in just two days which is why it’s such a personal and a perfect teen movie.
It was a film that I will always remember and one talked about so much between kids of the generation that you just had to see it, I don’t recall when I first saw The Breakfast Club but I know the impact it had on me when I did, it pulled me in and just connected with my life at that time.

Wow didn't realise he only wrote The Breakfast Club in two days. That's amazing.
Have you seen this blogpost about a woman who became his pen pal? He seemed like a genuinely lovely man.
