Mark Barrett, media tart for Climate Camp and dedicated human rights campaigner, chats about what we can do to reclaim & revive our democratic inheritance of hard won freedom.
A charter of rights passed down to us from an incredibly dedicated British peoples.
However flawed our current system of government may be, it is only by taking action and responsibility ourselves that we have any chance of strengthening our political knowledge and reform hope of leaving an honest nation for generations to come.
2009 and everyday human rights are slipping through our fingers like credibilty from a bankers portfolio - We don't all need to get on the streets & get angry about it, but we absolutely do need to be pro-active.
This is an invitation to all who have something to say about the country they live in to join the debate, come along to a picnic, or create an event yourself & self-organize your own locality.
If we allow others to make all the rules, we certainly have no right to moan when we cannot win the game.

All around the world we lay back, open our legs & get thoroughly shafted by our elected representatives...
YOu think Britain's got it bad - check out the new borders recently created for Auckland, New Zealand.
Almost every district is unanimously, vociferously against the monster decision to forge a coagulation of independant regions. Including professionals , council, environmental workers and business sector - However, it is proven these opinions count for nothing in the face of outdated money laundering machines - at what point do we have to say, sorry guys, I really cant kowtow to your belief system when you wont even acknowledge my own.
In the name of respect & common sense, not to mention human rights and community values - and I quote: would the real arseholes please fuck off, please fuck off, please fuck off... - 2 years ago
