    • I like it, because as cheesy as it is, in all their problems everyone can find something they identify with, and ultimately everyone can get along as everyone is human.

I LOVE the dance scene. One of the best moments in 80s cinema.

Not as good as Ferris Bueller or Pretty in Pink in my opinion though.

    • So John Hughes Died.
      Sad.
But what better way to celebrate his work than to review one of his very best movies?

I love The Breakfast Club - but I do have beef in regard to it's legacy. It's one of the most imitated movies of the last two decades but it STILL holds up against the likes of the modern day versions that are the diluted versions of the original!

      Peace.

Truly awesome, and I agree - there isn't exactly much going on. The kids start off as stereotypes, then the layers are peeled back to reveal their inner feelings and they all turn in to a bunch of whinging morons. But for reasons I still can't quite pin down to this day; this film rocks!

    • This a classic!

Hughes was just getting into his stride with this much loved and much copied film.

The thing which I find strange is that none of the stars are megastars today. Emilio Estevez is the only one who has stayed anywhere close to the limelight.
