David Mamet, the man behind Ronin, Wag The Dog, Oleanna and Glengarry Glen Ross, is helming a new Anne Frank movie for Disney. It will be based on the source material, Hackett and Goodrich's play and Mamet personal take on the story as a 'rite of passage' tale.

He was also the man behind "Lakeboat"- one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I looked at it with a critical eye, as I have sailed on 3 "lakeboats". There was Charles Durning in it, along with Dennis Leary, Andy Garcia, and Peter Falk. Falk should have been nominated "worst actor" for his extreme overacting. It was queasy to see- worst director award would have gone to Joe Mantegna, who threw in a very distracting story line about Garcia's romance with a sweet young thing. A subplot that really ruined the rest of the movie, but even without this subplot, it was still a crappy movie!
