    • Some actors just can't fake accents at all !!!Keanu Reeves is a good example of one who fails at the accent game! Although...he did do a decent stoner accent !

    • you could probably fill the list with just Irish accents. Kevin Spacey in Ordinary Decent Criminal, Tom & Nicole in Far & Away, Gerard Butler in P.S I Love You, Julia Roberts in Michael Collins, Pretty much everyone in Gangs Of New York, Lisa's Irish friend in The Simpsons Movie. Worst accent ever Imo would probably be Christophe Lambert's Scottish accent in Highlander.

    • Meryl Streep in "The Bridges Of Madison County"

That movie is the reason I will never see another flick directed by Clint Eastwood. Meryl Streep is absolutely the finest actor alive today, in my opinion. She is the consummate master of her craft. It takes A LOT to make her look bad. But Clint Eastwood, upon making "The Bridges Of Madison County," one of the crappiest movies in the history of American cinema, actually managed to MAKE MERYL STREEP LOOK LIKE A BAD ACTOR! The script was awful, the direction was abysmal, and her accent was laughable! I blame every last bit of this on Eastwood (a good director would hire a dialect coach to make sure his lead actress sounds believable) and not Streep. At the end of the day, this movie will start to put you to sleep - and the only thing that will keep you awake is laughing at that pitiful dialect...

    • Nobody has ever beaten Dick Van Dyke's "whatever-it-was-supposed to be" accent(s) in Mary Poppins. It sounded as if he did each scene (or part thereof) in a different month, couldn't remember what else he'd done, and Disney was too cheap to provide continuity or dialect coaching. Many bad performances since then, but for sheer bad accent, Mr. Van Dyke has my vote.

    • "surely we can’t put Kevin Costner in this list as he doesn’t do an accent. But his complete lack of effort, coupled with the feat of re-naming the Midlands city ‘Noddingham’ earn him a well-deserved place." - LOL

Johnny Depp's Irish accent in Chocolat was pretty poor, specially as I thought the gyspy he played was supposed to be French!!
