The car is in almost pristine condition, KUSA-TV, Denver, reported. There are only 18,480 miles on the odometer.
While the Italian sports car stands out among the battered trucks and SUVs other people have brought to Go Subaru in Golden, it qualified under the program. The owner got a $3,500 rebate on a new Subaru Impreza.
Wes Guthrie said the owner complained the Maserati would need work after being driven for 10 minutes. He had been trying to sell it for months and finding no takers

I'm sick of this cash for clunkers. Look what it's doing to the environment! I agree- replace the engines for more fuel efficiency or electric engine. I'm tired of bailing out the car companies only to have them continue to put crap on the road with no new real business plan.

The BiTurbo was a clunker. Not what you expect when you hear "Maserati". Junk. He got a decent deal.

I was working for a Maserati dealer in 1985 and that car was a pezzo di merda when it was new. Maybe worth more than 4500 bucks but not by much. Maybe good for parts because every other one on the road needs something fixed.

This guy needs to learn to advertise. I live in Colorado and would have bought it in a heartbeat if I had known.

In the UK, the scrappage scheme has led to some real classics that just need a bit of tlc being crushed. But some are being saved. Because UK dealers are obliged to scrap the cars, some have been finding private buyers for cars of historical merit, for instance, to match the funding offered by the scrappage sheme instead. There is hope after all.
As for the Maserati - I'll take it.
