Compactable Urban Bicycle design

Here is a bicycle design that takes the collapsing bike process to a whole other level.

With numerous pivots and joints the Compactable Urban Bicycle, created by Victor Aleman, consists of two different systems: The Wheel folding system and the Bike Structure system.

    • Looks like it's made from meccano!

Pretty cool idea but it does look a bit awkward to put together. I'd probably build it up once then think it's too much hassle to take apart and start again; kinda defeating the purpose! lol.

    • I really like it. My housemate has a folding bike but it still takes up a lot of room in the flat. This design looks like it could fold into a much smaller package.

My only issue with it is it seems a little complicated to assemble - certainly not as quick as current folding bikes
