    • The title seems a little off to me seeing as he didn't even touch on the subject of upgradeable motherboards themselves. I do agree with the author though, after a couple years it is usually is better to just buy a whole new system then to keep and older one alive.

      Sorry for the slight confusion. Though ya, upgradeable motherboards do fool budget gaming PC owners that they can keep their old PCs for years to come --- a very bad idea.

      But the truth of the matter is that THEY DON'T and it annoys the crap out of me. Budget PC gamers are the reason games aren't progressing as they should [i.e. Crysis] because all they do is complain that they can't play the latest and greatest.

      But then again, maybe I should start a LAN gaming center with the latest and greatest computers...
