Architectural design shows a world where water is precious

Imagine what the world would look like if water became extremely scarce...I'm sure your picturing desert landscapes everywhere. Well that would be very close to what Andrew Kudless of Matsys created as a visual design.

Kudless, who specialises in architectual design, has produced a concept of what he believes the earth is likely to look like in a drought-plagued future. The images are of the south-west of the United States and are inspired by the Sci-Fi novel "Dune".

The Hexagon Hydropolis displays the many underground water banks scattered across the land. Kudless believes that these water banks are to be the wealth of America's south-west economy (this could also apply to the rest of the world).

This is an interesting design looking at the future implications of global warming and how it will affect human attitudes towards water internationally.
