Cops Shoot Child’s Dog 7 Times After Finding Marijuana In Family Home « SpeakEasy

Monkey_Films
SWAT team breaks into home, fires seven rounds at family’s pit bull and corgi (?!) as a seven-year-old looks on.

They found a “small amount” of marijuana, enough for a misdemeanor charge. The parents were then charged with child endangerment.

So smoking pot = “child endangerment.” Storming a home with guns, then firing bullets into the family pets as a child looks on = necessary police procedures to ensure everyone’s safety.

(video below the fold)

This is what happens when you give a bunch of cowboy assholes heavy weapons and fill them with a God complex. Although I’m sure Joe Lieberman would suggest we strip this family of their citizenship.

Oddly enough, I doubt the tea partiers screaming about individual liberty will notice this. After all, it isn’t like the cops were going to raise their taxes or provide them with affordable healthcare coverage. They were just shooting his dogs in front of his family and then made up some bullshit excuse to try to take away the kid. No big deal.

    • No matter how you look at it, the activity was unjustified. They served a warrant after hours and the officer dropped the riot shield before entering which to me indicates a lack of perceived threat. They gave the occupant of the house no opportunity to comply. The plainly kicked the man in the head after entering the a room off the main room and killing two dogs. The police are around for the protection of the general public and if this gentleman was suspect enough to have a warrant served at his home then I have no sympathy for the trouble it caused his family. But I have witnessed warrants served and there is a major dichotomy between how warrants are served in upper-class neighborhoods and lower-class mostly minority neighborhoods. I agree that some drug dealers have pitbulls for the ferociousness in situations such as this. But at no point is an officer attacked by the animal and after the initial shot the dog is verbally submissive. Police officer increasingly have wild west mentality where they are the law and nothing is above them and there is no recourse for their actions other than a few nerds having a futile debate on the internet about the wrongness of their actions.

    • Wow boys!! way to go swat! You sure showed those terrible drug dealers.... ah yet another hard days work... the streets are safe now that we unloaded a clip into those vicious man eating pitbulls.... gotta love a man in uniform...right ladies? there’s nothing more appealing than a man with a small penis running around with his huge gun and GI Joe mentality, but I suppose I should be thankful that there is one less gram of harmful marijuana that’s threatening the safety of the American people...*gags* Killing animals and harassing suburban nobodies wont make you anymore of a man but good luck with that...
This video really put me off I almost wished I hadn’t seen it... What’s done is done and there’s not a doubt in my mind that those apes in uniform will move on with their lives and feel like small time heroes while this family on the other hand will never forget being raided right in front of their small child...and what about the kid?? Well concerning the child, that might be the one good thing that comes out of this, He will grow up to know that not all men of the law are as heroic and just as they like to teach us in grade school.

    • i love Dogs, much more then I love Police Officers. That being said the Police Officers were executing a legal search warrant and the Officers on the scene made a split second decision that the dogs posed a threat to the Officers. It is a know fact that Drug dealers use Pit Bulls and other breeds for security and that many Police Officers have been attacked and bit by dangerous dogs. True the dog was only following its own natural instinct and defending his/her family but the blame belongs to the owner of the dog. Selling drugs in a home where his family lives is a stupid and dangerous thing to do. But, I have both seen and heard stories from my friends who are Police Officers that you can use many non lethal methods to subdue a dog without endangering the Officers or the dog. Kevlar shields, pepper spray and even a simply common fire extinguisher. The dogs death and the trauma of the child is heartbreaking, but I don't understand why everyone is so upset with the Police Officers and not blaming the father for using his home for a stash house for drugs.

First, any breed of dog protects their house as it's their domain. Barking is one way to show "What are you doing in my house!"

Did the officers try to shut the dog up by "silencing" it using a gun to kill it?

They didn't want to be bothered with the dog.

List closely to the shots - one shot, dog is in pain. 6 shots later, dog is dead.

Keep listening to the dog -- I hope that cry staying in your mind for a long time. Think of that poor animal who was an innocent bystander against a group of macho men who should be sent down to Mexico to fight the war on drugs there.

Did you hear any of the SWAT team members yell out a warning that the dog was charging at them? Or "look out dog!" Yeah, I've seen other police videos and when there is a dog that is charging, there is usually some vocalization from the swat team.

Shooting is NOT showing they were protecting themselves from the dog.
That shows they were showing they are of a higher mentality than the dog which they are not.

Pit bulls are not the dog of drug lords. Come to the 'burbs especially where I live. They deal drugs in the houses in my neighborhood (upscale neighborhood) and have mutts that are not part of the pit bull breed. I didn't move to the suburbs to be subjected by scum of the city moving in to sell their crap instead of getting a real job.

This father should be "fixed" as well as the mother who pooped out the kid. But then having a little bit of weed is more important than taking care of a kid.

You are spreading around and sticking to a stereotypical image of drugs and dogs which is incorrect.

It's almost as if you are saying "Drugs are not found in catholic schools" or "priests do not molest boys."

First of all, I listened to the video multiple times and while you can't mistake the pain and agony of the dog, I have seen video of two pit bulls attack a full grown bull and had to shot multiple times in order to stop the dogs. Also, I love Pit Bulls and have grown up with them my entire life. I am from Dorchester which is a white Irish catholic neighbor in Boston and I have seen both sides of this noble breeds. I blame the owners not the dog. I did hear the dog bark a warning upon the entrance of the Police Officers and the dog was only doing what it was trained to do. (Protect it's home and family). But, in a dangerous, stressful raid, just how much time should the Police Officers wait until they can determine what is a threat and what is not. I heard multiple shots (where the six shots fired at the dog and was the dog immobile after the first shot..honestly, I don't know.) Like I stated above the Police Officers could have used a multiple on non lethal tactics to eliminate the threat of the dog. It always breaks my heart at the mistreatment and agony of animals. I witnessed the whole slaughter of packs of wild dogs during my second tour in Iraq by a bunch of Reservist assholes who took to much pleasure in the murder of these wonder and amazing creatures. I still have to believe that the Officers at the scene have to make life and death decisions in split seconds and still believe they were correct in their actions. My father still owns two pit bulls (who are such angels) and I own two Shar Pei's (Chloe and Isdole) who I would do anything for. It breaks my heart that soon I am leaving for 18 months and I swear I am going miss them more then my GF. The blame belongs to the father, plain and simple. Yes, this is a tragic story, no doubt about that and my heart aches for both the dead animals and the misery of the child, who just lost his best friend.

P.S, I went to a catholic school and while they were plenty of drugs around...we were lucky enough to avoid any pedophile priest. Maybe because they were all Jesuit Brothers and drunks to boot.

This couple wasn't selling weed. All that was found was 1 gram of weed and a pipe. That's $10 worth of weed in my part of the country. Hardly enough to be considered conspiracy to sell.

The police were not there concerning a drug bust, they were responding to a domestic disturbance call.

After running the address through their computers, investigators discovered there was a man living at that address who was wanted on an aggravated murder warrant.

Officers surrounded the home, and ordered the man to come outside.

That's when a woman opened the back door, and released the pit bull on the officers.

The dog attacked the patrolmen, and they opened fire, hitting the pit bull three times.

After searching the area, police found the suspect, 37-year-old Vittorio Delgado, hiding in the backyard.

Police are considering charges against the unnamed female who opened the door, and released the dog.

fuck the police! When do we get to consider charges against them? Their behavior was out of control, and fuck them for considering filing charges against this woman, and fuck their child endangerment charges after what they did to this kid. Is this the official story? I just have to wonder how much of it is true and how much of it has been concocted to cover their lack of control in a private citizen's home.

We are so inundated with this kind of police brutality, on a daily basis, it seems we are gradually losing our ability to be horrified by horrible behavior on the part of police all across this nation, and you have to wonder, if on some level, that isn't the intent behind this kind of bullshit.

"But, in a dangerous, stressful raid, just how much time should the Police Officers wait until they can determine what is a threat and what is not."

MORE time than they waited here, and they are supposed to be trained, not to mention the fact that they were dressed in full riot gear, so in my opinion, this was a giant police FAIL, and there are way too many giant police FAILS taking place under the protection of the damn Patriot Act.

Contrary to my angry and repeated "fuck the police" in this and similar instances, I don't hate the police, but this kind of behavior angers me to the boiling point, and making excuses for what was a very poorly organized raid does not foster the kinds of changes that need to take place in law enforcement across the nation. Yes, I hold them accountable to a higher standard than the criminals they elect to engage with, but we have to hold our police accountable, or we won't be able to discern their behavior from the criminal's behavior.

the police did not find enough pot to make the accusation that this man was using his home as a stash house for drugs, so that is pure conjecture on your part, and I'm not trying to be argumentative here, just reiterating that he had probably as much pot as some people's grandmothers might keep around for arthritis. The police will vindicate themselves, they always do, and until we demand more accountability for behavior like this, they are not going to do anything to change the way they respond in situations like this.

    • You fucking sons of bitches! I would love for someone to ass fuck you as punishment.

What gave them the right to shoot the dog 7 times?! Just by the SOUND of it, the dog was barking at intruders which is the dog's job.

If these fuckers want child endangerment and small amounts of marijuana, come to my neighborhood. 9 out of 10 houses have kids with pot! When you smell outdoor burning of stink wood, THAT MEANS THEY ARE COVERING UP THE POT SMELL while their kids are running around.

That dog didn't deserve to have its life ended like that.

Oh wait! This happened in MISSOURI! This explains why these police hicks acted this way.

It's too bad they didn't storm the house of Casey Guernsey and shoot him 7 times. I'm sure him and his cronies smoke it up when they are responding to emails from their constituents.
